our story
Mon Chourie is a Korean bakery based in San Diego, Specialized in choux au Craquelin and Korean salt bread, inspired by the flavors I grew up loving.

Our story began with my mom's cream puff pop-up in Korea and a family recipe made with silky creams, crisp shells, and the belief that desserts should feel light, comforting, and joyful.

Each choux is baked fresh and filled by hand with seasonal flavors—ranging from nostalgic Korean-inspired creations to playful little specials made just for you.

While visiting South Korea, I fell in love with the country's viral salt bread. Inspired to share that experience in San Diego, I took a master class in Korea to learn the traditional techniques behind its buttery, crispy, and fluffy layers. Today, we're excited to bring this beloved Korean bakery favorite to our community

TODAY, AFTER TWO YEARS OF FARMERS MARKETS AND POP-UPS AROUND SAN DIEGO, WE’RE SO EXCITED TO HAVE FINALLY OPENED OUR VERY FIRST STOREFRONT IN UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS! YOU CAN NOW FIND MON CHOURIE INSIDE KAIROA BREWING ON PARK BLVD.

founder
Kelly is the Cream Puff Mama behind Mon Chourie.
Inspired by her mom's longtime cream puff business in Korea, she started baking playful little choux filled with silky cream, nostalgic flavors, and lots of love for the San Diego community.
When she's not baking at 4am, she's probably dreaming up new flavor combos, playing with her pups, or planning the next pop up.
